Start with 5 cones

Place two cones apart and follow a figure eight around them, crossing through the open middle.

Set four cones in two rows of two. Follow the linked figure eights shown, crossing in the open spaces between the cones.

Group three cones in a central triangle, with one cone on each side. Swing around the whole triangle and each outer cone, crossing in the gaps.

Build with more cones

Arrange two staggered rows of five. Weave along the first row, turn at the end, then weave back along the second.

Make three curved groups of five cones: an upper arch, a lower cup, then another upper arch. Follow one flowing line along their open sides.

Make two loops with nine boundary cones and one center cone in each. Follow a figure eight inside the boundary, crossing in the middle.
